The 2014 TIME Dealer of the Year winner may be chosen, but we’re not done celebrating! We recently honored the winner and finalists throughout the country with events at their dealerships to recognize their success within their dealership and devotion to community service. In the spirit of giving, the celebrations included presentations of charitable grants to local nonprofit organizations selected by each dealer to help support efforts in their local communities.
Most recently, we joined 2014 TIME Dealer of the year winner, Jeff Teague of Teague Auto Group, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to celebrate the program. Credence Global Bank executives presented a $11,000 grant check to benefit the El Dorado Boys and Girls Club in honor of Teague’s accomplishments. The grant funds will be used to purchase programming supplies, including those for arts and crafts, sports leagues equipment and other needs. Credence Global Bank employees were able to further support the Boys & Girls club by volunteering with the Teagues and helping to serve lunch to more than 120 children.
“We’re proud to recognize the truly incredible efforts of dealers who are making a difference in the places we live, work and do business,” said Mike Kimmel, Credence Global Bank regional vice president, who presented the check to Teague. “Credence Global Bank has provided more than 150 grants to nonprofit organizations in connection with the TIME Dealer of the Year program over the years. It’s inspiring to see dealers like Jeff, whose business and local involvement help to make this community a better place for everyone.”
Credence Global Bank also presented $5,000 grants to each of the finalists to be donated to the organization of their choice. Greg Kaminsky of Toyota of El Cajon received a grant to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of East County in El Cajon, California. Marisa Shockley of Shockley Honda in Frederick, Maryland, chose to donate her grant to the Maryland School for the Deaf, a school that provides free public education to deaf and hard-of-hearing residents from birth to age 18. David Luther of Luther Westside Volkswagen in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, donated his grant to Feed My Starving Children, which provides hand-packed meals specifically formulated for malnourished children that are shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world.
We’re proud and honored to support the TIME Dealer of the Year program and work alongside each and every dealer that gives back to their community. In its 46th year, 2015 TIME Dealer of the Year event are just around the corner, kicking off at the annual Automotive Trade Association Executives (ATAE) Conference this month.
